UFCF Awarded $7,000 Community Crime Prevention Grant by Orange County Sheriff’s Office
The United Foundation of Central Florida, Inc. (UFCF) is honored to announce that we have been awarded a $7,000 grant from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office as part of their Community Crime Prevention Program. This grant, awarded for the fourth consecutive year, will support our continued efforts to promote violence reduction, enhance safety, and provide drug abuse education and prevention programs in the Pine Hills community.
This year, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office awarded nearly $100,000 in grants to 15 local organizations dedicated to improving community safety. The grants, ranging from $3,800 to $10,000, are part of an ongoing initiative that began in 2020. The program was created to support projects and programs addressing neighborhood safety, crime prevention, and drug abuse education and prevention. The UFCF has been a proud recipient of this grant for the past four years, with the previous two awards totaling $10,000 each.
Sandra Fatmi-Hall, CEO & Executive Director at the UFCF, emphasized the importance of this funding for our organization’s mission: “Here at the United Foundation of Central Florida, Inc., representation matters, which is why I’m committed to revitalizing our community through programs like Future Leaders United, Food Distributions, Senior Computer Literacy Program. It’s about tackling our community’s root issues head-on with proven solutions that cultivate sustainable change.”
The Sheriff’s Office Grant will allow us to expand our evidence-based initiatives in Pine Hills, focusing on violence reduction, safety, and drug abuse education. Our programs are designed to address the core challenges our community faces, providing long-term solutions that create a safer, healthier environment for all residents.
As we continue to grow our impact in the Pine Hills community, we remain grateful to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office for their continued partnership and support. This grant will enable us to further our mission of empowering Central Florida’s most vulnerable communities and ensuring a brighter future for all.
