🛡️ Whistleblower Policy

United Foundation of Central Florida, Inc.

Purpose

The United Foundation of Central Florida, Inc. (“UFCF”) is committed to conducting its operations with the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and transparency. This Whistleblower Policy is intended to encourage and enable employees, board members, volunteers, program participants, contractors, and others to raise serious concerns internally so that UFCF can address and correct inappropriate conduct and actions.

Scope

This policy applies to all UFCF stakeholders, including employees, officers, directors, interns, consultants, and volunteers.

Reporting Responsibility

It is the responsibility of all UFCF stakeholders to report concerns about violations of UFCF’s code of conduct, suspected fraud, financial impropriety, misuse of resources, discrimination, harassment, safety violations, or other unethical or unlawful activities.

No Retaliation

No stakeholder who in good faith reports a violation shall suffer harassment, retaliation, or adverse employment consequences. Anyone who retaliates against a whistleblower may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination or removal from their role.

Reporting Procedure

Reports may be made anonymously or openly. To ensure timely and appropriate handling, reports should include as much detail as possible. Reports may be submitted via:

  • Email: info@unitedfoundationcf.org

  • Mail:
United Foundation of Central Florida, Inc.
Attn: Board Chair – Whistleblower Report
    P. O. Box 680186

  • In Person: With a board member or designated officer

Whistleblower complaints will be reviewed and investigated by the appropriate individuals (e.g., Executive Director, Board Chair, or designated Ethics Committee).

Confidentiality

Reports of violations or suspected violations will be kept confidential to the extent possible, consistent with the need to conduct an adequate investigation.

Acting in Good Faith

Anyone filing a complaint must be acting in good faith and have reasonable grounds for believing the information disclosed indicates a violation. Claims found to be malicious or knowingly false will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action.

Administration of Policy

This policy is reviewed annually by the Board of Directors and revised as necessary to ensure compliance with state and federal law, and alignment with UFCF’s mission and values.
