GivingTuesday 2022
November 29th, 2022
GivingTuesday activities have been tracked in every country and territory in the world, and nearly 75 of these countries are home to official national GivingTuesday movements of their own! Here at the United Foundation of Central Florida, Inc., we are working to utilize this opportunity to continue to expand on our mission & vision.
We have made tangible impacts in the communities we serve. Donations of every size can make a significant impact on the lives of the people in our communities who need your help to achieve their academic and career dreams. Your participation in Giving Tuesday gives our organization the access it needs to cultivate spaces that promote a world-class learning environment, expert staff who set high expectations of excellence for every individual we serve, and transformative experiences that prepare our students to serve and lead with distinction.
Over the next few weeks leading to Giving Tuesday, you can help us reach a goal of at least 100 unique donors to the foundation.
If you give online, in the “honor of” section, put the Fund, you’d like to contribute to. The same can be done in you donate by mail.
Featured Funds:
FUNDS FOR UFCF (UNRESTRICTED FUNDS)
The Fund for UFCF is a critical unrestricted fund directing gifts to the foundation's most pressing needs. Your gift today will go to immediate use and directly impact our Solutions Center & Headquarters. Annual gifts to the Fund for UFCF provide essential year-to-year support for operations & development, infrastructure, and technology. Unrestricted gifts are a vital source of cash flow to keep the foundation operating and are critical to sustaining the foundation's mission and vision. Especially in uncertain times, these funds are more critical than ever!
FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM FUND
This fund supports our UFCF Food Distribution/Drive/Drop Program - At the start of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus, the foundation received a phone call that there was a dire need for food resources as an increase in food insecurities hit our communities. This increase in food insecurities impacted the greater Pine Hills Community and our surrounding areas. It was imperative that this need was met to curve the impact COVID-19 had on our families, such as job loss, increase in hunger and homelessness. We collaborated with partners, and as of November 2022, we have distributed over 3.7 million meals. This fund will allow us to maintain this program to address the food insecurity needs of our impacted communities. (Please see an older video below by volunteer Catherine H.)

STUDENT & FAMILIES EMERGENCY FUND
In the age of global pandemics - one that has devastated the health and wellness of millions of people and families worldwide - the sense of a 'new normal' has been promoted as the new way of existence. However, hunger and homelessness are not new phenomena. And in a virtual moment when people feel more alone than ever, including students and their families, real life seems to settle in when it comes to having money for groceries, rent, electricity, water, Internet, and so many other life necessities. This fund will allow us to help support our students and their families when they express a great need that must be met.

It begins with you: Become a UFCF Ambassador
The Office of Giving & Advancement is looking for good individuals to help build and strengthen our connection with donors.
