That is awarded to student scholars in our After-School Enrichment and Mentoring Program with a mission to assist in enhancing their higher educational, vocational, technical school, and other educational needs and opportunities. To achieve the maximum in their career journey. If you enlist in the military, $500.00 in financial aid can be awarded to help you get ready for your next step.
Since 2017, the educational scholarship program has served Students and Provides Access To Opportunities. To date, $212,500 Has Been Awarded To 168 Student Scholars; Including $30,000 In Alumni Support To Further Access For Our Scholars Educational Attainment.
The scholarship awards are based upon criteria established by the Foundation that consider the student's involvement through their time in the program, emphasizing their final year of high school as confirmed graduating seniors.
The Educational Scholarships are sponsored by individuals, entrepreneurs, organizations, associations, and groups and are available immediately following the awards ceremony, which usually takes place between the month of May-August.
The Foundation manages all funds and allocation of the scholarships and must be used within four years from the date awarded. This procedure ensures that these educational scholarships are allocated for the purposes intended.
Students can use the scholarship to pay for anything education-related - such as a computer, printer, dorm room or apartment, textbooks, lab coat, goggles, band equipment, and tuition, to name the most used educational uses. The items listed above are not final; however, the United Foundation of Central Florida Board of Directors will review any educational use request not listed here on a case-by-case basis.
