Celebrating 11 Years of Impact – Honoring Our Journey & Looking Ahead

Dear UFCF Family,

Happy Valentine’s Day! Today is extra special as we celebrate the 11th Anniversary of the United Foundation of Central Florida, Inc. On this day in 2014, we set out to transform lives through education, mentorship, and community empowerment. Eleven years later, we stand proud of all we have accomplished together.

As we mark this milestone, we also take a moment to honor the legacy of Mr. Dennis W. Hall, my late husband and a driving force behind UFCF’s growth. His unwavering dedication and commitment helped build the foundation of what we stand for today. Though he is no longer with us, we continue represent our mission, and today, we celebrate alongside our Future Leaders United (FLU) students in his honor.

Over the past 11 years, UFCF has made a tremendous impact in our community:

Distributed 7.3 million pounds of food, the equivalence of 6.1 million meals to families in need.
Awarded over $350,000 in educational scholarships, helping students pursue their dreams.
Supported over 300 students in advancing to higher education, the military, or workforce/trade school programs.
Achieved a $35 million economic impact through scholarships, educational programs, and community services.
Launched workforce development and career exploration initiatives, preparing young leaders for success.
Expanded our civic engagement programs, ensuring our youth have a voice in shaping their future.

We are also thrilled to welcome three outstanding new members to our Board of Directors:

Carl Battle, who has been instrumental in leading our FLU sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays,
Zanisha Premilien, former FLU President (2020–2021) and our newly appointed Board Secretary,
Lacandria Washington, who brings valuable insight and leadership to our team.

As we continue this journey, we are excited to announce two major upcoming events:

Our 9th Annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony will take place on June 7, 2025, at Serenity Ranch, where we will celebrate our students’ academic achievements.
Our 11th Anniversary Fundraising Luncheon will be held on September 19, 2025, at First Baptist Orlando, a gathering dedicated to sustaining and expanding our impact.
