Describe your recent success in detail.: Recently managed to receive well over $200,000 in scholarships as well as receive Trojan of the Year at Evans High School. I’ve been accepted to over 28+ colleges and receive the Bright Futures Florida Medallion Scholarship

How did Future Leaders United, if at all, prepare you for or propel you towards this achievement?: Because of FLU I was able to gain experience and community service hours. With the community involvements, many organizations seen how active I was in my community and decided to invest in me.

Anything else you would like us to know about yourself or your accomplishment?: I am a hardworking and diligent Fluite. I was the President for the 2018-2019 school year and I plan on investing back into FLU because FLU took the time to invest into me.

Future Leaders United Secretary 2018-2019

Grand Canyon University

Graduating Class: 2019

Attending: Grand Canyon University

Major: Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Email: Sandrapetitfrere14@gmail.com

Describe your recent success in detail.: My recent success was that I graduated high school with honors and with a 4.5 weighted GPA. I have the honor to attend an out of state college without paying out of state tuition and out of 5 of my moms kids I will be the FIRST to attend an out of state college and the first to major in Nursing.

How did Future Leaders United, if at all, prepare you for or propel you towards this achievement?: To begin with, I was able to participate in one of THE best after school programs at Evans High School. F.L.U has helped me in so many ways. For example, they opened my eyes to the bigotry and hatred that is going around in my community. I was able to meet influential people such as Governors, Mayors, Doctors, Rappers, and I was able to go to networking events. Lastly, F.L.U gave me scholarship that will help me further my education in this institution.

Anything else you would like us to know about yourself or your accomplishment?: One thing I have learned about myself was to NEVER judge a book by its cover because you never know who that person is and how that person will be able to help you in the near future. I was taught how to not always put myself first because sometimes it comes off as selfish.

Minuteman Scholarship Program
The Minuteman Scholarship is a Reserve Officer’s Training Corps ( ROTC) Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty (GRFD) scholarship that was introduced in 2015 to enhance the Army Reserve’s ability to recruit highly qualified cadets every year. All qualified applicants for ROTC scholarships may apply for consideration for a Minuteman Scholarship. The Minuteman Scholarship covers full tuition and fees (uncapped) or $10,000 per year toward room and board at any college or university served by an Army (ROTC) program. Scholarship recipients also receive a yearly book allowance of $1,200 and a monthly stipend of $420 while attending school enrolled in the ROTC program. Minuteman Scholarship recipients must serve in the Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP), in which they participate in an Army Reserve unit’s monthly drills and a 14-day annual training for which they are paid as a E-5/Sergeant. After graduation and commissioning, Minuteman Scholarship recipients are guaranteed placement in the Army Reserve.
